Langley JR Blaze Capture 4th Annual Ken Hatton Tournament Title

The Langley JR Blaze put together an impressive weekend of baseball, earning the championship at the 4th Annual Ken Hatton Tournament with a strong team effort from start to finish.

The Blaze opened round robin play with a 4-0 win over the Delta JR Blue Jays before continuing their momentum with a 10-2 victory against the Victoria JR Mariners. The team then battled through a pair of tightly contested games, finishing with a 6-6 ties against the Coquitlam JR Reds and another tie (5-5) versus the Webber Wildcats to close out the preliminary round with a 2-0-2 record.

In the semifinal, the Blaze offense came alive as the Blaze defeated the North Shore JR Twins 10-5 to punch their ticket to the championship game.

The final saw the Blaze deliver one of their strongest performances of the tournament, shutting out the Coquitlam JR Reds 2-0 to secure the tournament title.
