Tom considers the ballpark his second home. With coaching experience across multiple levels, he has found his true fit with the Blaze. A retired Air Force veteran, Tom has a treasure trove of stories—especially from his time working with the Snowbirds, Canada’s famed military aerobatics flight demonstration team. Known for his almost military-level precision and organization, Tom ensures everything runs smoothly, always prioritizing scheduling games and practices to get the players on the field as much as possible.

Beloved by the kids, Tom’s dedication extends beyond just the Junior teams—he passionately supports the entire program, both on and off the field.

liam "soup" campbell | head coach


Liam “Soup” Campbell wrapped up his high school baseball career in Chilliwack before embarking on his collegiate journey with the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades. Excelling both as a catcher and a pitcher, Liam distinguished himself as one of the top relief pitchers in the league. His career highlight came in 2019 when he earned the winning pitcher title in the Canadian College National Championship. During the summers, Liam honed his skills further playing with the Edmonton Prospects in the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL).

Academically, Liam holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Combining his extensive baseball experience with his academic background, Liam is passionate about helping players develop not only their athletic abilities but also grow into well-rounded individuals both on and off the field.

stephen horner | assistant coach


Stephen Horner began his high school baseball career with the Whalley Chiefs, quickly making a name for himself as a standout player. In 2015, he earned a JPBL championship, and the following year, he was recognized as both a PBL All-Star and Rookie of the Year. Stephen continued to build his legacy at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), where he became the all-time leader in games played. He is especially remembered for his clutch playoff performances, highlighted by an incredible 8 RBIs in the national championship game.

Stephen graduated from UFV with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a background that complements his deep understanding of the mental aspects of baseball. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to studying the mechanics of hitting, bringing a unique blend of physical expertise and psychological insight to player development. Stephen is known for his creativity in coaching, helping players improve not only as hitters but also as base runners and outfielders.
