Tom Nevison | Junior Manager

Tom's second home is at the ballpark. Tom has coaching experience at many different levels and has found a home with the Blaze. As a retired Air Force Veteran, he has many stories including his time working with the Snowbirds military aerobatics flight demonstration team. Tom makes sure that things run smoothly, to almost a military level, and is always looking to schedule games & practices to get the boys out on the field. Tom is a favourite amongst the kids and loves supporting the program on and off the field at all levels, not just the Juniors.

Liam "SOUP" Campbell | Junior Head Coach

"Soup" finished his high school career in Chilliwack before beginning his college career at the University of the Fraser Valley. Both as a catcher and pitcher during his career Liam finished his UFV Cascades career as one of the top relief arms in the league during his time, which included being the winning pitcher for the 2019 Canadian College National Championship. Liam spent time over the summers playing for the Edmonton Prospects of the WMBL. Liam has also completed a Bachelors of Kinesiology and a master’s degree in counselling psychology. Liam uses his baseball knowledge and academic education on & off the field to help players develop into the best versions of themselves as people & athletes.

Stephen Horner | Assistant Coach

Stephen played his high school career for the Whalley Chiefs.  Stephen was a JPBL champion in 2015 and in 2016 was a PBL All-Star & Rookie of the Year. Stephen went on to have quite the legacy at UFV and is the all-time leader in games played but is most notable for his impressive playoff’s performances including 8 RBIs in the national championship game.  Stephen graduated from UFV with a bachelor’s degree in psychology but has spent years studying the mechanics of hitting.  Stephen brings great knowledge of the physical & mental side of hitting and is very creative in how he develops players into better hitters, base runners, and outfielders.
