As a multi-sport athlete and baseball coach, Coach Chatz brings a wealth of experience and an unlimited passion for the game. 2023, marks his fourth season with the Langley Blaze and 19th year of coaching overall. Throughout his coaching career, Coach Chatz has emphasised team unity, community connectedness, a strong work ethic, dedication, and believing in the bond of a family environment. As a baseball player, Coach Chatz is a two-time Canadian National champion, he was the starting centre fielder for the 1996 BC AAA Bantam team and the starting short stop for the 1999 BC Midget Premier team. Coach Chatz also represented his zone in the 1997 BC Summer Games, taking home a gold medal. Coach Chatz’s accomplishments both on and off the field as a player and a coach is why he is perfect to guide the Langley Blaze Bantam team. His goals align with the organization in getting the most out of his players to help transition them to the next level in their baseball careers.
