Langley Blaze Capture BCPBL Bantam Championship

The Langley Blaze Bantam team completed a remarkable championship run this weekend, winning the BC Premier League Bantam Championship, and extending their winning streak to an impressive 23 consecutive games.

Entering the tournament having won 18 straight game, the Blaze continued their outstanding play throughout the week, posting a perfect 5-0 record against some of the top teams in British Columbia.

The tournament opened on Wednesday with a 9-3 victory over the UBC Thunder. The Blaze followed that performance with a strong 4-1 win over the Victoria Eagles on Thursday before defeating the Abbotsford Cardinals 6-3 on Friday to complete round-robin play undefeated.

Championship Saturday saw the Blaze elevate their game even further. In the semi-final, Langley earned a convincing 7-1 victory over White Rock to advance to the Championships game vs the Coquitlam Reds who had won the BCPBL Regular Season title.

The championship game featured two talented clubs battling for the provincial title, but the Blaze once again found a way to come through in key moments. Langley secured a hard-fought 6-4 victory over the Reds to capture the BC Premier League Bantam Championship banner.
