Langley Blaze Bantam Team Captures Kyle Losse Memorial Tournament Championship

The Langley Blaze Bantam team put together an outstanding week of baseball, battling through a talented field to capture the Kyle Losse Memorial Tournament Championship in dramatic fashion.

After a strong performance in pool play, the Blaze entered the playoff round with momentum and never looked back, finishing the tournament with a thrilling 3-2 walk-off victory over the Victoria Eagles in extra innings to claim the championship.

The tournament began with a dominant 8-0 victory over the VCB Mounties, as the Blaze showcased strong pitching and timely hitting. Their only setback of the weekend came in a hard-fought 9-6 loss to the Delta Blue Jays, but the team quickly responded with an impressive 10-3 win over the Penticton Tigers.

In the quarterfinals, the Blaze continued their strong play, defeating the White Rock Tritons 9-3 and following that up with a 6-3 semifinal victory over the Coquitlam Reds, earning a berth in the championship game.

The final against the Victoria Eagles proved to be everything a championship game should be. In extra innings, the Blaze delivered a walk-off to secure a 3-2 victory to bring home the tournament title.
